With the win, the Lady Choctaws finish the 2017 regular season at 13-2-1 overall and 12-2 against Gulf South Conference opponents.

TURNING POINT
- Up 2-0 in the second half, junior forward Lauren Smith found the back of the net off of a penalty kick in the 51st minute. The goal, Smith's team-best seventh of the year, gave MC a 3-0 lead and enough momentum to cruise to the 4-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MC did not wait long to crack the scoreboard in the match. The Lady Choctaws broke the scoreless tie in the 4th minute, when Hannah Bailey delivered a corner kick that found the head of Caitlin Hayes for the goal. The goal marked for Hayes's third of the year.
- The Lady Choctaws would go on to double their lead in the 12th minute, when Bailey delivered another beautiful ball off of a corner kick that found the foot of Freshman Lexi Ballon for the goal. The goal marked for Ballon's first career score as a Lady Choctaw.
- After taking a 3-0 lead in the second period off of Smith's successful penalty kick, MC would deliver the final blow via another penalty kick. Samantha Carson scored MC's final goal of the match, her fourth of the year.
