Strong First Period Pushes Lady Choctaws Past Union, 6-1

TURNING POINT
- Up, 2-0 in the first half, sophomore forward Emma Claire Furman took a pass from junior forward Lauren Smith and delivered a left-footed strike from inside the box to give MC a 3-0 advantage in the 27th minute. - After going up 3-0 off of Furman's score, it was Smith again who found the back of the net for MC. Smith slotted her second goal of the match, with help from Madison Moser, in the 34th minute to put MC up 4-0.
- Union got on the board early in the second half, when Olivia Schmitke knocked in a goal off of a deflected Lady Bulldog shot.
- Moser knocked in her first goal as a Lady Choctaw in the 66th minute, when she took a pass from Carter and found paydirt.
