HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team saw an impressive 19-year streak snapped in a 95-79 loss at #19 Alabama Huntsville on Saturday afternoon in Spragins Hall.
The Choctaws (4-13, 1-12 GSC), as a program, had made a three-pointer in 498 straight games, dating back to March 5, 1998. On Saturday, MC was held to 0-for-7 from long range against the nationally-ranked Chargers (15-4, 11-2 GSC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing by as many as 16 in the first half, MC went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 39-31 when junior
Antonio Johnson nailed a couple of free throws with 1:50 remaining.
- The Chargers were able to hit a couple three-pointers in the final minute to grab a 48-34 advantage at the break.
- In the second half, UAH would push the lead out to as many as 24, but MC would not go away, using an 11-0 run to cut the score to 80-67 with 6:58 remaining in the game.
- The Chargers withstood the rally and went on to get the victory.

Stacey Mack led the Choctaws with 21 points apiece, going a combined 18-of-29 from the field.
- The Choctaws had an effective inside game, scoring 40 points in the paint and only attempting seven three-pointers.

Antonio Johnson each had a team-high six rebounds.
- The Choctaws shot 50% from the field in the second half and had five blocked shots on the night, led by Mack and freshman
Tristan Hunter with two each.
- The Chargers were led by 26 points from Brandon Roberts,while Seab Webster had a team-high nine rebounds.
- UAH shot over 50% from the field and went 15-of-37 from the three-point line.
GAME NOTES
- The Choctaws are now 6-5 all-time against the Chargers, while UAH has won each of the last five meetings.
