MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Mississippi College has won six of its last seven contests with the lone setback coming in a four-point setback at GSC leader West Florida.
Kelley Allen and
Ashley Minor continue to lead the Lady Choctaws in scoring this season. Minor leads the team in scoring on the season with 14.5 points per game is second in scoring in GSC games averging 14.8. Allen leads the team in scoring in conference contests with 16.2 points per contest and averages 14.0 points on the season.
Five Mississippi College freshman have played nine-plus games this season.
Zariah Matthews,
Kaitlyn Thompson and
Ieisha Lacey have seen action in all 15 contests this season with
Melissa Creese playing in 12 games and
Nora Kathryn Carroll in nine games.
NORTH ALABAMA NOTES
North Alabama sits second in the GSC with an 8-3 record after winning its last two conference contests with decisions over Lee (74-69) and Shorter (76-74).
Ivy Wallen is one of two players in the conference averaging over 19 points per game. Wallen is second in the league in scoring with 19.8 points per game and 19.4 in GSC games.
North Alabama ranks first in the GSC in steals per game with 10.7. Mississippi College sits second behind the Lions with 10.3 swipes.
