CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to Gulf South Conference on Thursday, Jan. 12 as it hosts the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. The game is the third in six days for the Lady Choctaws and the midway point of five contests in 10 days.

THE SERIES
Mississippi College looks for its third win all-time against UAH as the Lady Chargers are 6-2 in the series, having won the last six meetings. MC's last win (73-56) in the series came on Dec. 18, 1993 in Clinton, Miss.
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Mississippi College had two players post a double-double in the win over West Georgia.
Cortrice Golden had 11 points and 11 rebounds while
Kelley Allen recorded 10 points and grabbed a team-best 12 rebounds. MC had three players score in double-digits and record double figure rebounds.
Ashley Minor led the team with 16 points while
Kaitlyn Thompson tied a season-high with 10 boards.
Entering tonight's contest head coach
Paul Allen Duke is one win shy of 350th career victory - all coming at MC.
The Lady Choctaws rank second in the GSC steals and third in assists. MC averages 9.8 swipes per game and 14.6 assists. North Alabama leads the GSC in steals with 11.4 while Christian Brothers sits atop the conference in assists with 15.3 while Lee is second with 14.6.
UAH NOTES
UAH picked up its first, GSC win on Saturday as the Blue and White upended Union 57-56 in Huntsville, Ala. The win snapped a four-game, losing streak for UAH. The Lady Chargers fell 57-52 vs. Christian Brothers on Monday. UAH was picked sixth in the GSC Coaches' Preseason Poll.
The Lady Chargers rank third in the GSC in 3-point field goal percentage. UAH has connected on 32.4 percent of its shots from behind the arc, which ranks only behind Union (35.4) and Christian Brothers (33.3)
