CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball returns to action this weekend as the Lady Choctaws (6-3, 0-2 Gulf South Conference) travel to west Tennessee for a pair of conference matches. MC opens the weekend slate in Jackson, Tenn., on Friday, Sept. 16 against Union. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. and closes the swing out on Saturday, Sept. 17 vs. Christian Brothers. Match time is set for 1 p.m. in Memphis.

Mississippi College seeks its first win in program history over Union and looks to snap a four-game slide against Christian Brothers. MC's last win over CBU came on Sept. 17, 1994 - the last meeting between the two schools until the series was renewed in 2014.
 
Jenna Campbell leads the Lady Choctaws with 78 kills on the season while Bailee Berringer and Sydney Chandler have split time at setter. Berringer leads the unit with 139 assists followed by Chandler's 132. Defensively for the Navy and Gold, Madison Kimes has recorded a team-best 133 digs while Kayana Mitchell and Jamila Biglow have defended the net with 29 and 24 blocks respectively.
 
Christian Brothers and Union face each other on Thursday evening in Jackson, Tenn. CBU stands 4-2 entering the outing with the Bulldogs and 0-1 in Gulf South Conference action while Union is 3-5.
 
Katie O'Malley paces Union with 58 kills on the season and has a team-best 13 service aces. Audrey Cagle and McKenna Carter lead the defensive unit as Cagle has 78 digs with Carter recording 15 blocks.
 
CBU is led by Emma Lenoir's 81 kills while Jessica Reber has dished out 193 assists on the campaign. Blythe Clausen and Mary Kathryn Miller guide a defensive unit. Clausen has 92 digs on the season while Miller has 39 total blocks.
