CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to non-conference action on Tuesday, Dec. 6 as the Lady Choctaws (2-1) host LeMoyne-Owen College. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

THE SERIES
Mississippi College and LeMoyne-Owen College will meet for the second time in series history on Tuesday evening. MC claimed the previous meeting 90-22 in Clinton on Feb. 4, 1993.

MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Five Lady Choctaws are averaging double figures in the scoring column this season led by Kelley Allen's 13.7 points. Allen scored a season-high 22 points against Delta State - the most by any Choctaw this season. She's the first 20-plus point scorer since former Choctaw Kristen Sampson scored 24 points vs. Union on Jan. 30, 2016.

Toni Woods is averaging a double-double in her senior season with MC. The Lafayette, La., native has 12.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game this season through her first two games.

Lanae' Bickham (11.0), Cortrice Golden (11.0) and Olivia Mabry (10.3) are averaging double-digits in scoring on the campaign.

Mississippi College has out-rebounded its opponents in both wins this season. MC used a plus-10 advantage on the glass (38-28) to claim its win over Delta State to open GSC play. The Lady Choctaws have a 4.0 advantage in the two wins and 2.6 in the three games this season.

The win over Delta State is the first conference-opening victory for MC since Nov. 26, 2011 at Texas Lutheran.

LEMOYNE-OWEN COLLEGE NOTES
LeMoyne-Owen seeks its first win of the season after the Lady Magicians fell 77-54 at Fort Valley State on Saturday. Corlishia Howard led LOC with 16 points in the loss to FVSU.

Teresa Mays and Champale Grays lead the Purple and Gold in scoring. Mays paces the squad with 11.8 points per game while Grays is averaging 10.0. Courtney Banks leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per contest.

UP NEXT
Mississippi College returns to Gulf South Conference next weekend. MC travels to Cleveland, Tenn., to face Lee University on Thursday, Dec. 15. Tip is slated for 5 p.m. Following the contest at Lee, the Lady Choctaws travel to Rome, Ga., against Shorter University. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
