CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to Gulf South Conference action on Thursday, Dec. 15 as it travels to Cleveland, Tenn., to face Lee University. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. central.

THE SERIES
Mississippi College and Lee will meet for the fifth time in history as MC looks for its first win in the series as the Flames hold a 4-0 advantage. The two squads first met on Jan. 12, 2015 in Clinton with Lee claiming a 66-44 victory. The last affair between the two teams came last season in Clinton with Lee winning 73-60.
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Mississippi College used a season-best shooting night to win its third straight contest with an 88-64 decision over LeMoyne-Owen College.
Four Lady Choctaws scored in double-figures led by
Zariah Matthews' season-high 11 points.
Kaitlyn Thompson joined her fellow freshman with double-digits and a season-best 10 points.
Cortrice Golden and
Toni Woods each added 10 points.
MC has out-rebounded its opponents in the three wins this season. The Navy and Gold hold a combined, plus-18 advantage on the glass in the wins. The Lady Choctaws are out-rebounding their opponents by a plus-14 this season.
Toni Woods leads MC in averaging a double-double this season. Woods has posted 11.3 and 10.3 rebounds this season and is one of six players in the conference averaging a double-double.

LEE UNIVERSITY NOTES
Lee is riding a five-game win streak entering the GSC tilt, including a 79-70, conference victory over Shorter University. Lee's lone loss on the season came against then sixth-ranked Florida Southern College on Nov. 12. LU is 4-0 on its home floor - Paul Dana Walker Arena on the season.
Carrie Cheeks leads the Flames this season as the junior is averaging 15.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. Cheeks is one of six players in the conference to average a double-double this season.
