CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team fell to Barry 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Longabaugh Field in a shortened, lightning delay game.
The first half remained scoreless as the Choctaws (0-3) were outshot by the Bucs (2-0-1) 8-2.
The Bucs got on the board early in the second half as Hanno Antoni found the back of the net in the 58th minute of play bringing the score to 1-0.
The start of the second half was more competitive as Barry put up four shots against the Choctaws three shots.
A 30 minute lightning delay was then put into effect with 23 minutes remaining on the clock. The game continued for three and a half more minutes and was called due to weather, giving Barry the win 1-0.
The Choctaws will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Cleveland, Miss. to play their first Gulf South Conference match of the season against rival Delta State at 4:00 p.m.
