Lady Choctaws Play Union to Scoreless Draw in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team earned a 0-0 draw with Union University in a GSC road match.

The Lady Choctaws (7-1-3, 3-1-2 GSC) outshot the Bulldogs (2-8-1, 2-2-1 GSC) 10-8 and put five shots on goal. The MC defense drew 10 offsides calls against the Union offense.

Freshman goalkeeper Andrea McDonald pithced her sixth shutout of the season, making two saves for MC.

The Lady Choctaws got a couple of shots on net in the second overtime as sophomore Caitlin Hayes and freshman Lauren Smith tried to score the game-winners.

MC will stay on the road to face Christian Brothers at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in Memphis.
