CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team is on the road this weekend as they travel to Jackson, Tenn. to face Union on Friday at 7:15 p.m. and then to Memphis, Tenn. to play Christian Brothers at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The Choctaws (2-7, 0-3 GSC) are coming off two big wins against Louisiana College (8-0) and LSU-Alexandria (4-0). The Choctaws tripled their goal total on the season in their last two games giving them 16 goals on the season.
Leading the attack is junior
Kendall Carballo (San Jose, Costa Rica) with five goals, three of which came in the last two games and four assists all coming in the last two matches. Senior
Jorge Delgado (Juarez, Mexico) has put in four goals while junior
Conor Corboy (Aptos, Calif.) has posted three tallies.
Ewahia Amhanesi has contributed two goals with three helpers on the season.

Perry Goldsbury (Derby, England), and sophomore
Elliot Rimmer (Clinton, Miss.) who have kept their opponents to 115 shots on the season. In goal for the Choctaws is sophomore
Humberto Pelaez (Panama City, Panama) who has posted a 1.48 goals against average, making 38 saves with two shutout victories.
The Choctaws hosted Union last season and picked up a 5-4 win. The Choctaws were trailing Union four to three with just four minutes remaining when
Josh Barrera scored to tie the game. With two minutes remaining,
Francisco DeAnda found the back of the net to give the Choctaws the win 5-4. The first three goals came from DeAnda,
Stephen Roberson and
Benaiah Preston. Union's goals came from Paul Langford, Rodrigo Zanta, Alex Pratt and Lucas Lopes.
Union's (4-6, 2-2 GSC) offense is led by Andre Silva with three goals and one assist while Diogo Dias and Amadeu Guimaraes have recorded two goals apiece. In goal for Union is Matt Kesler with a 0.87 goals against average facing 65 shots with 22 saves.
Last season, the Choctaws faced Christian Brothers (8-3-0, 1-2 GSC) twice, going 1-1 with both games resulting in overtime play. The Choctaws picked up a 1-0 win in the first meeting between the teams as
Stephen Roberson scored in overtime. In the second game Roberson scored in the first half while the Bucs came back to tie in the second half off a goal by Devon Jackson. Samuel Wilson scored for the Bucs in overtime giving Christian Brothers the win 2-1.
Christian Brothers' (8-3-0, 1-2-0 GSC) offense has tallied 21 goals to their opponents 16. Leading the Bucs attack is Samuel Wilson with nine goals and three helpers. Xavi Lao has posted four goals with one helper. Brendan Bennett leads the team with six assists on the season. Britton McGuire is between the posts recording a 1.53 goals against average with 24 saves and two shutout victories.
