CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team returns to Gulf South Conference action on Friday, Oct. 30 as MC hosts the University of West Georgia. Match time is slated for 6 p.m.
The Lady Choctaws had early success against the University of West Alabama on Tuesday before falling 3-1 to the Tigers.
Jamila Biglow posted a .476 attack percentage on the night en route to 11 kills, which tied for tops on the team with
Jenna Campbell, who leads the team with 157 kills on the season. Biglow ranks fourth on the squad with 111.
Bailee Berringer picked up her fifth contest with 20-plus assists as she logged a team-best 20 on the night. The Dickinson, Texas, freshman, has tallied 376 on the season.
Sydney Chandler added 18 in her pursuit of the all-time assists leader. The sophomore has recorded 288 on the season and has 748 in her career.
A trio of Lady Choctaws' recorded double-digit digs in the affair as
Alex Hackett tallied 14 to lead the squad.
Madison Kimes, who has garnered a team-best 211 on the campaign, added 11. Berringer supplied 10 digs in the contest as she sits fourth on the team with 121.
West Georgia is currently 3-21 on the season and 0-14 in the GSC. The Wolves travel to West Alabama on Thursday evening before making the trek across to Clinton, Miss., and A.E. Wood Coliseum.
Tiffany Ancrum paces UWG with 212 kills while Kelcie Zimmer and Victoria Rushin have tallied 353 and 315 assist respectively. Casey Roethler leads the squad with 314 digs while Jaida Allen and Lindsey Thomas have each recorded 40-plus blocks.
Following the weekend outing, Mississippi College returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 3 as it travels to the University of West Florida. Match time is slated for 6 p.m.
