CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College men's soccer team scored three goals in a six-minute span in the second half to pick up a 4-0 victory over Lee University on Sunday afternoon.
The Choctaws (8-5, 3-4 GSC) got on the board early in the first half when senior
Stephen Roberson scored his team-leading 8th goal of the season in the 9th minute on an assist from senior
Francisco DeAnda. For Roberson, it was his team-high third game-winning goal of the season.
After MC went into the halftime break with the 1-0 lead, freshman
Elliot Rimmer extended the advantage in the 51st minute with his first goal of the season on a corner kick assist from Roberson. Junior
Ewahia Amhanesi scored twice in the 56th and 57th minutes to give the Choctaws their third goal in six minutes. Freshman
Luis Montes tallied his first assist of the season on Amhanesi's first goal.

Humberto Pelaez made two saves to pitch his second shutout of the season for MC, while Tom Halsall and Joey Hinshaw combined to allow four goals with four saves for the Flames (7-5-2, 2-3-1 GSC).
For the Choctaws, it was their final road game of the season as they went 6-2 away from Longabaugh Field this season. They will now finish up the season with three straight road games, beginning Friday when they host Spring Hill at 3:00 p.m.
