Redshirt-freshman Noah Purvis (176, -4) won the Mississippi College Spring Invitational individual championship at Lake Caroline Golf Club in Madison, Miss.

The Katy, Texas native fired a tournament-best 67 (-5) in the opening round and went on to win the event by two strokes over teammate Force Choi (178, -2).

The Choctaws won the team tournament, as well, firing a 723 (+3) over 45 holes. MC defeated second-place Trevecca Nazarene by four strokes.

Purvis and the Choctaws are in Hattiesburg this week for the Carey Collegiate Classic at Canebrake Country Club.
