Junior Carlie Sargent, tossed her 11th complete game of the season against William Carey on Wednesday. The Oxford, Ala. native scattered eight hits with two strikeouts in the win. Â
Sargent pitched a great game on Friday against #1 Valdosta State, allowing just four hits with four strikeouts and no earned runs over a complete game effort in the circle. On Saturday against the Blazers, Sargent took another tough loss in the series, despite allowing just one earned run in 13.2 innings pitched in the series. On Saturday, she scattered seven hits with three strikeouts.Â
The Lady Choctaws are finished with their regular season but will be back in action in two weeks at the National Christian College Athletic Association MidEast Regional, hosted by Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. The schedule and participating teams have yet to be announced.
