Freshman goalkeeper Humberto Pelaez has helped lead and MC defense that has recorded three straight shutouts in wins over Lee (Tenn.), Spring Hill and West Florida. He has not allowed a goal in 276:13. Over that span, he has made 12 saves in the three shutouts.

On the season, Pelaez has started 13 matches and posted a 1.70 goals against average with 50 saves. The freshman has allowed just 22 goals in his rookie season and has posted five shutouts with an 8-5 record.

Pelaez and the Choctaws will be back in action this Saturday for "Senior Day" when they host Talladega College at 3:00 p.m. at Longabaugh Field.
