Senior Jordan Pritchard has been named Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Oct. 1).
Pritchard (Painesville, Ohio) took home an 8th-place finish out of 412 runners with a time of 25:10.7 in the Men's 8k Blue Race. His time was less than a minute off the pace of the race winner, Joseph Humes of Hillsdale (24:17.8).
The Choctaws finished 2nd at in the Blue Race, scoring 173 points. They would finish just behind St. Francis (IL), who won the team title with 146 points. Will Young (22nd, 25:25.9) and Evan Del Rio (28th, 25:34.2) also finished in the Top 30.
Pritchard and the Choctaws will be back in action this Saturday (Oct. 6) when they host the Watson Ford Invitational at Choctaw Trails in Clinton.
