Junior baseball player Jayme Monroe tallied a 0.00 ERA, striking out four batters over 8.0 innings pitched to help the Choctaws win the series over Texas-Dallas.

The Clinton, Miss. native has given up only two earned runs over the last 28.0 innings and has not given up a single run in the past 15 innings pitched.  Monroe has not walked a batter over his last two appearances on the mound.

Monroe and the Choctaws will celebrate "Senior Day" this weekend as they host Texas-Tyler for their final series of the 2014 season.  The three-game set will begin with a single-game on Friday at 6:00 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m.
