John Adams opened the 2014 Outdoor Track & Field season with two strong performances in the discus and the hammer throw. He won the discus competition with a personal best throw of 45.01m. His toss was more than 12m further than any of the other 22 competitors.

Adams also competed in the hammer throw and took home 3rd place. He tallied a mark of 34.14m.

Adams and the Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday, March 15 when they travel to Hattiesburg to compete in the Southern Miss Invitational.
