Senior guard Valeri Stewart led the Lady Choctaws to a 2-0 week against Concordia Texas and Mary Hardin-Baylor at the "Golden Dome" this weekend.
Stewart led all scorers with 14 points and had a career-high seven steals in the victory over the defending ASC champion Tornados on Thursday night.
Over the two games, Valeri averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 steals and 3.5 rebounds. She also shot 53% (9-17) from the floor.
On the season, Stewart is averaging 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. She leads the team and ranks 3rd in the ASC with 3.0 steals per game.
Valeri and the Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Monday, December 17th, when they travel to Abilene, Texas to face Hardin-Simmons.
