Junior right-hander Austin Trehern picked up the ASC tournament-clinching win against East Division opponent Ozarks by closing the game out with 5 1/3 scoreless innings. Trehern, who entered with MC trailing 9-6, scattered five hits and struck out two batters. It was his first victory of the season.  For his efforts, Trehern was also named ASC East Division Pitcher of the Week for the games of April 17-22.

Trehern and the Choctaws will now head to the American Southwest Conference First Round Series where they will travel to Seguin, TX to face Texas Lutheran.  The two teams will play a best-of-three series that will determine who advances to the four-team ASC Championship Tournament.
