Junior RHP Kim Mason tossed a complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win over defending national champion East Texas Baptist and also picked up a save later in the week in a 7-5 game against LeTourneau. Against ETBU, the Lawrenceville, GA native scattered five hits and walked just one over the seven innings. On the week, Mason struck out three batters over 10 scoreless innings.

Mason and the Lady Choctaws will travel to play defending national champion ETBU again on Tuesday, March 22, in a doubleheader starting at noon before hosting Rust College at the MC Softball Complex in a doubleheader on Thursday.
