Senior Aneta Golawska has been named the Mississippi College Merit Health Female Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Feb. 10).
Golawska (Gdansk, Poland) went 2-0 in singles action and 1-0 in doubles action to open the 2020 season against Xavier (LA) and Loyola (LA).
In the match against NAIA #2 Xavier, Golawska netted the #3 singles point in straight sets (6-2, 6-3). Against Loyola, she tallied points at #1 doubles (6-3) and #3 singles (6-1, 7-5) to help the Lady Choctaws grab a 6-1 victory.
Golawska and the Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel across town to face Jackson State at 2:00 p.m.
