Senior Victor Bazan has been named Mississippi College Merit Health Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Nov. 4).
Bazan (Lima, Peru) scored three goals, including two on "Senior Day", in a 2-0 week that saw the Choctaws defeat Auburn Montgomery (2-0) and Montevallo (5-1).
The three-year player for the Choctaws now has four goals on the season, all coming in the last four games. He has now scored 14 career goals, and his two goals on Sunday against the Falcons was his first multi-goal game.
Bazan have already clinched a home match to open the Gulf South Conference Tournament on November 12th. They will wrap up the regular season this week at Spring Hill (Nov. 7) and West Florida (Nov. 9).
