Lexi Richards posted a pair of season-best performances to help the Choctaws go 2-1 on the week. She opened the week with 10 kills in the four-set victory over Christian Brothers. She poured in a season-high four total blocks and added an assist in the win. In the three-set win at Lane College she finished second on the team in kills with seven along with a dig and block. She wrapped up her week with a season-high 11 kills in the five-set setback at Union as she surpassed her previous high of 10 against CBU earlier in the week. She added a block in the five-setter. She finished the week with 28 kills, six total blocks, an assist and dig.

Mississippi College returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8 as the team travels to Columbus, Miss., for a non-conference outing against the Mississippi University for Women. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
