Junior Dylan Duplechain has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (April 29).
Duplechain (Mamou, La.) hit a walk-off, two-run home run in the 10-8 victory over rival Delta State to open up the weekend series. He went 3-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBI in the series-opener.
On the season, Duplechain is hitting .276 with 10 doubles, a triple and two home runs, leading MC with 11 stolen bases in 13 attempts.
Duplechain and the Choctaws will head to the Gulf South Conference Tournament in Oxford, Ala. this week as the No. 2 seed. MC is set to face West Georgia at 1:00 p.m. in the opener.
