Junior Zack Ingram has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Feb. 11).
Ingram (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) closed out the Lindenwood series with a stellar outing in the 10-0 victory, striking out nine and allowing just two hits over 6.1 innings. The junior walked just two batters over the scoreless effort.
On the season, Ingram has struck out 18 batters over 12.1 innings, walking just three and giving up one earned run for a 0.73 earned run average.
Ingram and the Choctaws will be back in action this coming weekend when they will host Quincy University for a three-game set, opening with a doubleheader Saturday at 2:00 pm.
