Senior Marcus Lytle has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Jan. 14).

Lytle (Memphis, Tenn.) scored in double-figures in both games of a homestand against Valdosta State and West Florida, including hitting the 20-point mark for the third time this season against UWF. He shot 60% (15-of-25) from the floor and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the two contests.

On the season, Lytle (14.2 ppg) ranks second on the team in scoring and leads the team with a .513 field goal percentage and nine blocked shots. He also leads the team with 21 offensive rebounds and is third on the team with 12 steals.

Lytle and the Choctaws will make a road trip to Tennessee this weekend as they face Christian Brothers (Memphis) on Thursday and Union (Jackson) on Saturday.
