Junior Coco Hobson has been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Female Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday (Dec. 18).
Hobson (Brandon, Miss.) tallied MC's first double-double of the season in a Monday win over Christian Brothers, tallying 15 points and 18 rebounds against the Bucs. The 18 boards ties a high in the Gulf South Conference in 2018.
For the week, Hobson averaged 13.0 points and 12.5 rebounds, also tallying four assists and three steals against Delta State and CBU. On the season, she is averaging 9.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest.
Hobson and the Lady Choctaws will be back in action on New Year's Eve when they travel to Magnolia, Ark. to face Southern Arkansas at 2:00 p.m.
