Junior Tre Jenkins has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Nov. 19).
Jenkins (Tupelo, Miss.) went 7-of-10 from the three-point line, scoring 21 points in a 78-73 victory over previously undefeated Henderson State on Saturday afternoon. The seven made three-pointers in the second-highest total in single game in school history.
He also scored 12 points with four assists, four rebounds, three steals and a block in an overtime loss (88-84) to Talladega College on Monday night. For the week, Jenkins went 9-of-18 (50%) from the three-point line.
Jenkins and the Choctaws will be back in action this Tuesday night when they will travel to Magnolia, Ark. to face Southern Arkansas at 7:00 p.m.
