Junior Brandon Boston has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Nov. 12).

Boston (Pearl, Miss.) tallied a double-double in the season-opening win over Belhaven (97-80), racking up 18 points with 10 rebounds. The third-year player went 8-of-14 from the field and knocked down both of his free throws in the victory.

Boston and the Choctaws will be back in action this week for three games, opening by hosting Talladega College on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. They will travel to Auburn for an exhibition game on Wednesday and will wrap up the week on Saturday at home against Henderson State (4:00 pm).
