Ashley Minor averaged 15.5 points per game over the weekend, including tying a season-high with 18 points at Shorter. The Natchez, Miss. Native shot 42.8 percent from the field during the two-game span and connected on 86.6 of her shots from the free throw line, including a perfect 8-for-8 at Shorter to help the Lady Choctaws shoot a season-best from the charity stripe. The senior also averaged five rebounds and played 33.3 minutes per game.
 
For the season, Minor ranks second on the team in scoring behind Kelley Allen. Minor is averaging 11.5 points per contest and 5.2 rebounds – which is third on the team.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 31 as it hosts Christian Brothers in Gulf South Conference action. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
