Men's soccer player Ben Cross (Santa Rosa, CA / Van Buren HS) spearheaded a unit that allowed only one goal over two conference wins and provided the game’s only goal in a win over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Cross scored on a header off a corner kick in the 1-0 home game against UMHB. After allowing Howard Payne to take a 1-0 lead, Cross and company clamped down the rest of the way and secured a 2-1 win.  Cross has also been named American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts

Cross and the Choctaws will hit the road this weekend to face Texas Lutheran and Schreiner on Friday and Saturday.
