Junior Brianna Caldwell has been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Female Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (March 12).

Caldwell (Athens, Ala.) helped lead the Lady Choctaws to a series win over Lee University with a walk-off home run in the series opener. She led off the seventh inning by taking a 1-1 pitch over the left field wall for the only run of a 1-0 win.

On the season, Caldwell is hitting .311 with a team-high six home runs. She is 3rd on the team with 19 hits and 11 RBI.

Caldwell and the Lady Choctaws are back in action at home this weekend to host West Florida, beginning on Saturday with a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m.
