Junior Xavion Dillon has been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (December 4).
Dillon, who missed the season's first four games due to injury, made his debut in a 69-65 win over Union, scoring a team-high 16 points with nine rebounds. He also blocked five shots and went 8-of-10 from the free throw line in the GSC opener.
On the season, the Tylertown native is averaging 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while blocking 2.0 shots per contest and shooting 47% form the floor. Dillon is also 13-of-16 (81%) from the foul line.
Dillon and the Choctaws will play an exhibition game on Tuesday night at William Carey before returning home to host West Alabama on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
