Senior right-handed pitcher Craig Mackay helped lead the Choctaws to their first win of the 2011 season in a 3-2 victory against Piedmont College. 

Mackay (1-0) went seven innings giving up four hits while striking out seven and did not walk a batter.  The Piedmont batters hit just .167 against Mackay and he did not allow an extra base hit.

The Choctaws will travel to Memphis, TN to play a two-game series with Rhodes College on Saturday and Sunday.  The first pitch on Saturday is scheduled for 1 p.m.
