Mississippi College sophomore placekicker Kyle Kruse is this week's selection as the Male Athlete of the Week for his performance last week in the 33-0 win over LaGrange College.

Kruse went 4-4 on field goal attempts and also was a perfect 3-3 on extra points. The Metairie, LA native nailed field goals of 20, 25, 19 and 32 yards. Kruse is 8-10 on field goal attempts this season and ranks 6th in the country with eight made field goals. He also leads the ASC with the eight made field goals.

The former Jesuit High School standout is just three made field goals shy of the school record set by Reggie Hawthorn in 1983 (11-11). His 14 career made field goals currently ranks Kruse 4th on the MC career list.
