Jordan McDaniel

Entering his inaugural season at Mississippi College in 2024, Coach Jordan McDaniel brings a wealth of coaching experience and a proven track record of success to the Choctaws' defensive line.

His coaching journey began at Troy University, where he served as a student assistant coach from 2019 to 2021, specializing in Outside Linebackers (OLBs). He continued his coaching trajectory as a Graduate Assistant Coach, focusing on safeties at Troy in 2022, before taking on the role of Special Teams Coordinator and OLBs Coach at Troup County High School in LaGrange, Georgia, for the 2023 season.

In 2023, Coach McDaniel returned to the collegiate realm as a Graduate Assistant, once again specializing in OLBs, this time at Liberty University. It was during this tenure that Coach McDaniel played a pivotal role in guiding the team to a Conference USA championship and a notable appearance in the Fiesta Bowl.

Coach McDaniel's coaching is further evidenced by his work with standout players such as Carlton Martial, the all-time NCAA leader in tackles at Linebacker, and Javon Solomon, the 2023 NCAA sack leader, both hailing from Troy University.

A native of Elba, Alabama, Coach McDaniel earned his degree in Social Science from Troy University in 2022. Beyond his coaching accolades, Coach McDaniel brings a diverse background, having worked as a band roadie and offshore roughneck before transitioning to football coaching.

Coach McDaniel's recruiting territory in Mississippi is Northeast Mississippi, where he aims to identify and develop top talent for the Choctaws' program.
