During his 15 seasons with the program, Johnson has helped the Lady Choctaws compile an overall record of 127-50-16, including a conference mark of 82-34-11. His tenure has seen the Choctaws become a perennial contender in the Gulf South Conference and on the national stage.

In 2018, MC advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen, upsetting top-seeded Barry in the second round. That year, the Lady Choctaws set a school record with 11 straight victories and allowed just 13 goals all season, posting a team GAA of 0.64.
The 2017 season marked MC's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. The Choctaws earned the No. 1 seed in the South Region and were named GSC Regular Season Co-Champions after compiling a 15-4-1 record, the third-highest win total in program history.
