Troy Best is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the softball program at Mississippi College.
Best played baseball, football, and basketball at Apollo High School in Owensboro, KY. He was a team captain in baseball and football during his senior year. During his time on the football team, he was a three-time District Champion and won one Regional Championship. He earned an All-District Team selection in his senior season.
While playing baseball, Best won three District Championships and three Regional Championship with three straight trips to the State Tournament. He earned All-District and All-Regional Team selections in baseball.
After graduating high school in 2004, Best attended Cleveland State on a baseball scholarship. He received a Bachelor's degree in business administration.
