Mississippi Colege Athletics

Tim Yancy is the longest-tenured member of the Mississippi College athletics staff as he enters his 36th season with the Choctaws.

For his outstanding service over the years, Yancy was inducted into the Mississippi College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.

Yancy is a 1983 graduate of Mississippi College and has been a staple for the department since graduation. During a career that has extended into four decades, Yancy has handled a variety of different responsibilities. He currently serves as equipment coordinator for the football team, as well as the head of facilities for all of Choctaw athletics. He’s in charge of outfitting the football team with equipment and supplies, as well as managing Robinson-Hale Stadium and A.E. Wood Coliseum.

During his undergraduate years, Yancy also served as football equipment manager.  He is heavily involved in other aspects of the athletic department such as hosting championship events. He is married to the former Rose Cooley.
