Mississippi Christian University Men's Soccer to Host ID Day Camp on Aug. 1

CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi Christian University Men's Soccer will host its annual ID Day Camp on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Robert P. Longabaugh Field on the MC campus.

The one-day camp is designed for serious soccer players ages 15-21 who aspire to compete at the collegiate level. Open to student-athletes entering grades 9 through college junior status in Fall 2026, the camp will provide participants with an opportunity to train and compete in a college soccer environment while receiving instruction from the MC coaching staff.

Campers will take part in technical and tactical training sessions, a question-and-answer session with coaches, facility tours and full-field 11-vs.-11 matches. The camp is limited to 50 participants to ensure personalized instruction and evaluation.

The camp will be directed by MC head coach Rafael Costa and the Choctaw coaching staff.

The event will be held at Robert P. Longabaugh Field, home of Mississippi Christian University's men's and women's soccer programs. Opened in 2006, the facility features a natural grass playing surface, covered team benches, concessions, restrooms and spectator seating. Camp participants will also have access to the Robert G.W. Girling III Field House, which includes team locker rooms, coaches' offices, an athletic training room and other amenities that support one of the premier soccer facilities in NCAA Division II.
