NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Mississippi College Track and Field continued to showcase its talent at the Music City Challenge, competing against several Division I programs and delivering strong performances across multiple events.
In the men's 5000 meters, junior Braedon Methvin put forth an impressive effort, placing 19th with a time of 14:26.31. He also demonstrated his endurance in the men's 3000m unseeded event, finishing 11th with a time of 8:30.56.
Christian Balcer took on the men's mile, securing 27th place with a competitive time of 4:08.73. Brock Kelly also competed for the Choctaws, finishing 12th in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:18.65.
One of the standout moments of the meet came from Mississippi College's distance medley relay team, featuring Cole Benoit, Samuel Hodson, Evan Wrights, and Christian Balcer. The quartet turned in a strong showing, earning a third-place finish with an impressive time of 10:02.30.
With momentum on their side, the Choctaws now turn their focus to the Gulf South Conference Indoor Championships, set for Feb. 20-21 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. The team will look to carry their success into the championship meet as they compete for top honors in the conference.
