BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Tina Honnef secured her second Gulf South Conference Women's Golf Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Tina Honnef posted a top 20 finish as the Mississippi College women's golf team finished 16th in the Division I laden field at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State University at the Sage Meadows Golf Club. The Choctaw were the lone non-Division I team in the field of 17.

Honnef opened the tournament with a 77 (+5) in the first round and matched her season-best in the second round with a 72 (E). She wrapped up the two-day tournament with a 74 (+2) in the final round on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Her 223 was tied for 18th place.

The Thun, Bern, Switzerland, native claimed her first on Sept. 19 after winning the Joe and Lee Duncan Invitational.

Mississippi College returns to action on Monday, Oct. 28 as it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., and the Hattiesburg Country Club, for the Judson Invitational.
