Clinton, Miss — Mississippi College fell to West Florida 3-1 to fall to 1-1-1 Friday at Robert P. Longabaugh Field. The Lady Argos put up two goals in the first half.  The first was Manami Okada's goal in the 15th minute, which came off an assist by Mya Swinton.  The second came just four minutes later from Okada, giving her a brace in the first 19 minutes of the match.

The only goal for the Lady Choctaws came in the 40th minute via Kathryn Knuth which briefly cut the lead to 2-1.

However, the Lady Argos responded in the 64th minute with Emma Beltz scoring their final goal of the game off an assist by Emilie Dueck Doerkesen.  

The Lady Choctaws were outshot 15-5, and also lost in shots on goal 7-2.  The Lady Choctaws also were given the only penalty of the day, although there were three yellow cards handed out.  Two of them were to Lady Argos in the 45th and 87th minutes and one was to the Lady Choctaws' head coach Daryl Longabaugh in the 74th minute.

In goal for the Lady Choctaws Jessi Carro had four saves while allowing three goals, and for the Lady Argos Maciah Lipsey had one save and allowed one goal.  

The Lady Choctaws are back in action on Sunday, September 17 at home against Spring Hill College at 1 p.m. CT.
