CLINTON, Miss - Mississippi College revealed their 10-game schedule for the 2023 football season as the Choctaws kickoff with an away game against Keiser on Thursday, August 31 beginning at 5 p.m. CT in West Palm Beach, Fla.
"We're really excited for the schedule we have put together for the 2023 season" said head coach John Bland. "Without a doubt, this conference is widely recognized as the toughest Division II conference in the country, and it proves itself year after year. The level of competition we'll face week in and week out is truly unmatched, and it's an exciting prospect for our team."
In 2023, the Choctaws will play a total of four home contests, with six games being on the road, and eight Gulf South Conference matchups.
Following their season opener, MC will hit the road again on Saturday, September 9, as they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas, to face Midwestern State. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. CT.
The Choctaws return home for their first home contest of the season on Saturday, September 16. They begin GSC action at 7 p.m. against West Georgia at Robinson Hale Stadium.
MC takes to the road in consecutive road trips for GSC matchups on September 23, as they face West Alabama in Livingston, Ala. with kickoff at 6 p.m.
On September 30, the Choctaws take on Shorter in Rome, Ga. with a morning kickoff at 11 a.m. CST.
After a two-week stint away, MC hosts Valdosta State and Chowan in consecutive weeks at Robinson Hale Stadium. On October 14, the Choctaws clash with the Blazers on the gridiron, with a kickoff slated for 2 p.m.
The following week, MC hosts Chowan for a homecoming matchup set for 7 p.m. in Clinton, Miss. on October 21.
Continuing their away games, the Choctaws face North Greenville on Saturday, October 28, in Greenville, S.C. with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
MC returns to their home turf for the final home game of the season on Saturday, November 4, where they will go head-to-head with West Florida at 2 p.m. CT.
The Choctaws conclude the regular season on Saturday, November 11, as they travel to Cleveland, Miss. for a 3 p.m. matchup against Delta State, wrapping up GSC play and capping off their 10-game slate for 2023.
