CLINTON, Miss. ---- McCall Lee has been named the D2CCA South Region Player of the Year for her outstanding performance during the 2023 softball season. Lee shattered school records, amassing an impressive 67 runs batted in, 76 hits, and 140 total bases.

Additionally, she tied the Lady Choctaws' record with 19 doubles, showcasing her exceptional hitting ability. Lee's remarkable statistics include a .415 batting average, a .765 slugging percentage, 49 runs scored, and 15 home runs.

Her exceptional achievements did not go unnoticed, as Lee also earned a place on the Gulf South Conference 1st Team and the NFCA 1st Team.

Moreover, she received the prestigious title of the 2023 GSC Player of the Year, solidifying her status as one of the top players in the conference.

Lee's exceptional performance and record-breaking feats mark her as a trailblazer for the Lady Choctaws, becoming the first player in the program's history to receive such recognition.
