TAMPA, Fla. — The #15 ranked Lady Choctaws of Mississippi College prepare to make their mark in the NCAA Division II Softball Championships as MC prepares for Thursday's opening round of the Tampa Regional in the highly competitive South Region matchup versus UAH.
In what will be a thrilling rematch between two talented squads, providing an opportunity for redemption and a chance to advance in the tournament, MC clashes with the 2023 GSC Champion Lady Chargers (44-9) beginning at 2 p.m. CST.
The Tampa Regional also showcases other formidable opponents, including the top-seeded University of Tampa, with a stellar record of 40-3. Tampa, plays host to Tuskegee University, the 8th seed in the South Region, with a record of 25-19.
The Lady Choctaws, with an impressive overall record of 42-10, have had a historic season, notching the most wins in a single campaign in the school's history. Their exceptional performance has shattered numerous school and individual records, solidifying their position in the NCAA Championships.
