JACKSON, Tenn. --- Union took game one of this weekend's three game series over the #19 Lady Choctaws by a final of 4-0.
Union scored two runs in each of the first two innings of the game, quickly giving Union starter Riley Vaughn the 4-0 advantage.
Vaughn held MC batters in check, striking out nine while surrendering one hit in the contest.
McCall Lee picked up the lone hit in the sixth inning with a single to centerfield.
Barnett, in relief, threw 4.1 innings in the circle, giving up no runs on just one hit, striking out three Lady Bulldogs.
MC falls to 26-7 overall on the season and 14-5 in GSC play. Both teams return to action tomorrow for the final two games of the series beginning at 12 p.m. at Fesmire Softball Field in Jackson, Tenn.
