CLINTON, Miss. --- #21 Mississippi College and Auburn Montgomery split Saturday's highly anticipated doubleheader, yet it was a thrilling game one of the series that went the way of the Lady Choctaws in a 12-11 walk out win.

AUM struck first in the first inning on an RBI single by Kat Fallen, giving the Lady Warhawks a 1-0 lead. MC answered in the third inning on a Sac Fly to left field by Jaycee Dill to tie the game at 1-1.

In the fourth inning, AUM scored three runs to take a 4-1 advantage, before a four run inning by the Lady Choctaws on an RBI double by Jordan Moore and a three run home run by Jordan LaFosse to put MC ahead 5-4.

AUM regained a 7-5 lead on three runs scored in the fifth inning, yet Brooke Fagan hit her 10th home run of the season in the bottom half of the fifth inning to cut the Lady Warhawk lead to 7-6. 

Trailing 8-6 in the sixth inning, an RBI single by Shelby Samples pulled MC to within an 8-7 deficit before taking a one run lead, 9-8, on two runs scoring off of an error in the outfield as the Lady Choctaws took advantage going into the seventh inning. 

AUM utilized two home runs to retake a two run lead, 11-9, heading into the Choctaws final at bat of the game. In the bottom half of the seventh, MC tied the game up at 11-11 on a two RBI single by Jordan Moore, scoring both Hannah Tauzin and Brooke Fagan. 

Tied at 11-11, Kamryn Eaton singled to center field, scoring Jordan LaFosse as MC walked off game one for the thrilling game one victory of the series. 

Ashley Delaney picked up the win to move to 2-0 in the circle, while Shelby Samples and Jordan Moore had three hits apiece. 

AUM took game two of the doubleheader by a final of 13-1, setting up for the game three finale on Sunday at the MC Softball Complex at 1 p.m. 

Brooke Fagan's home run in game one gave her 10th of the season. It was the first time in MC history the Lady Choctaws have had three individuals reach 10+ home runs in a season - Kamryn Eaton (10), Jenna Ergle (10), Brooke Fagan (10). 

The Lady Choctaws enter game three on Sunday with a 25-6 overall record and 13-4 in GSC play.
